what sets me apart from other creators
I've studied Acting and Film Making for 11+ years, moving to Los Angeles to build a career in the film industry. My goal was always to get into Sit-com work. I'd often get type-cast roles like Phoebe from Friends, or Pam from the Office, I loved doing these roles!
Whilst studying in film school, I had a mentor ask me what my reason was for getting into Film.
My 18 year old response was,
"I think if I stopped I would be absolutely miserable and regret it for the rest of my life. I need this art to feel like I can breathe."
She told me the line I've carried all through my adult life so far, my teacher told me,
"You do it for the love."
I found many side hustle jobs working as a Brand Ambassador, representing brands such as Google, Sanrio, Netflix, and multiple Consumer Packaged Goods brands. I made a great name for myself in this event industry because of my reliability, great attitude, getting chatty with people, and always doing my best to represent the brand I'm employed by. I loved getting to constantly meet new people, explore the area by traveling for jobs, share new experiences, and try new things!
do it for the love
Once the events in 2019 came, I was forced to stop and find a "real" job to support myself. I now work in Consumer Packaged Goods as a Field Marketing Manager the past 3+ years. I routinely find events for my company to activate at, and then go to the events and sample in person to guests!
Though I do enjoy what I do as a career now in Field Marketing, it hasn't filled the creative space in my heart.
I had to find another love to fill the space I had reserved for my love of acting. I learned what would fill the space was trying new things, and adventures.... Food and Travel. I started creating videos of my adventures during this time and it brought me so much joy.
I realized through the time of Covid19, I fell out of love with the Film Industry.
What I really loved the whole time of acting, was the experience of story telling.
One of the founders in my company I work full time for described my attitude as,
"Alysia, you are one of the most POSITIVE people I've ever met."
My new goal is to make UGC & Content Creation my full time job. It's the closest I can get to what I absolutely love doing- being creative, telling stories, and bringing smiles to people's faces.
I strive to make genuine content and connect with people. I'd love to represent your brand in the best way I can.
